Poster Do's & Don'ts

Osteopathic medical students and residents are invited to showcase your research during the Oklahoma Osteopathic Association’s 117th Annual Convention in Norman! All entrants must be a current osteopathic medical student or an osteopathic physician currently in a postgraduate training program. The judging panel will select first, second and third place winners, and the top three finalists will present their research Saturday, April 29, 2017, at 10 a.m. The OOA will be responsible for displaying your posters at the 117th Annual Convention at the Embassy Suites Norman Hotel & Conference Center. All students and physicians in postgraduate training programs receive free registration to the Annual Convention and are encouraged to attend.

Students and DOs in postgraduate training who plan to submit an abstract and poster for the Oklahoma Osteopathic Association’s Research Poster Symposium are eligible to receive grants to be used at any stage of medical research to fund minor expenses such as material or fees. Now through April, grant requests will be reviewed monthly for disbursement of 10 individual $200 grants. Send grant requests in the form of a letter detailing your research project and funding needs addressed to the Bureau on Postgraduate Education to

The mission of the Oklahoma Osteopathic Association’s Research Poster Symposium is to showcase current osteopathic research and stimulate interest in future research projects. This will be accomplished through the gathering and exchange of ideas and information between participants of the symposium and attendees of the OOA Annual Convention and the opportunity for grant funding for future research.
