Award Nominations
The Oklahoma Osteopathic Association's Bureau on Awards will meet on January 2, 2025, to determine award recipients to be honored during the OOA's 125th Annual Convention. These awards represent the highest honor the OOA can bestow in recognition of outstanding service and contribution to the osteopathic profession in Oklahoma. Nominations are now being accepted through Christmas Day - Wednesday, December 25, 2024, to honor deserving physicians and friends of the profession at the 125th Annual Convention on April 9-13, 2025. Only OOA members can submit an OOA Awards nomination form.

AWARD CRITERIA
DOCTOR OF THE YEAR AWARD
The OOA Doctor of the Year Award is the most prestigious honor within the OOA. Nominees must:
- Have been in practice for at least 10 years
- Provides his/her community with compassionate and comprehensive medical service on a continuing basis
- Directly and effectively involved in community affairs
- Supports his/her state and professional associations along with humanitarian programs
AWARD OF APPRECIATION
This award honors an OOA Member, or friend of the osteopathic profession, in Oklahoma who has donated his/her time and efforts to improve the lives of our citizens.
A.T. STILL AWARD OF EXCELLENCE
This award honors a physician who has contributed significantly to the advancement of osteopathic medical education in Oklahoma.
ROOKIE PHYSICIAN OF THE YEAR AWARD
This award honors a physician in his/her second year of practice who has exemplified significant contributions and service to his/her school, community, and association and impacted osteopathic medical education in and outside of Oklahoma.
OUTSTANDING & DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD
This award honors a physician who has significantly contributed to improving the community and impacted osteopathic medicine in and outside of Oklahoma.
