OOA Contends Daily for Physician-Led Health Care

Posted By: Roger Thompson Association Updates,

The Oklahoma Osteopathic Association is the only health care organization in Oklahoma that has a strong record of contending and fighting for physician-led health care. The OOA is a physician-led association that believes physician-led healthcare provides better health outcomes for patients. This is non-negotiable.

The OOA stands with all of its members, whether you are in private practice or a hospitalist. Recently, under the leadership of OOA President Christopher Thurman, DO, the OOA signed on with a number of specialty colleges and affiliate societies to two letters initiated by the American Osteopathic Association.

The OOA signed on to oppose the proposed CY 2027 Medicare Physician Payment Schedule. The letter was mailed Sept. 14. To read the letter click here

As the Oklahoma legislative session nears, we are already meeting with legislative leaders to discuss health care in Oklahoma. We will be vigilant, strong and continuous in fighting for our members.

We are DO Proud. We are stronger together.
