You also have the opportunity to donate to OEFOM through gifts of stock or an IRA Charitable Rollover gift.

Gifts of Stock: If you would like to make a gift of stocks to the OEFOM, please contact Lana Ivy at 405-528-4848 or [email protected] for more information on how to make a donation.

IRA Charitable Rollover Gift: The IRA Charitable Rollover is now permanent. This means that if you are age 70 ½ or older, you can make a gift of up to $100,000 per year, directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to the Oklahoma Educational Foundation for Osteopathic Medicine (OEFOM).

There are many benefits when you make an IRA rollover gift:

  • Your gift can be used to meet your annual required minimum distributions, which are required beginning at age 70 1/2.
  • IRA gifts are “pre-tax” gifts – which means it costs you less to make a gift from your IRA.
  • You can use an IRA gift to avoid income taxes that you would otherwise have to pay on the distribution.
  • It's an easy and convenient way to manage your charitable giving. Your gift can be used to support one or several OEFOM funds.

For more information on making an IRA Charitable Rollover gift, please contact Lana G. Ivy at [email protected] or 405-528-4848 before Dec. 31 to count your distribution for the 2019 tax year.
