Medical Marijuana

No longer do you need to be a board certified physician to recommend but you must be registered with OMMA.  Follow this link if you would like to register with OMMA and recommend medical marijuana to your patients.

Any patients seeking information or applications for medical marijuana can find all the information they need on the landing page of OMMA's website.

Not all benefits and/or risks of medical marijuana are known at this time.  Luckily, other state's have gone through this already, and there is some helpful information about how and when medical marijuana can be used. Check out Colorado's medical marijuana information for physicians to see what they have already established.

The OOA has a CME regarding the new Oklahoma opioid law, which took effect November 1st, as well as frequently asked questions on medical marijuana.  This CME is worth three hours of AOA Category 1-A credits.  Visit DOCME to see this CME and more.
